Cell Phone Policy

Volunteers are allowed to have and use their cell phones as necessary, as long as it does not distract them from their duties.  The following cell phone policy is for campers.

CampHERO Cell Phone Policy

We acknowledge that campers and parents want to stay connected, and that cell phones may be necessary for communication during travel.  However, we have found that cell phone use at camp is disruptive and interferes with developing relationships.

If possible, cell phones should be left at home.  Campers are allowed to bring cell phones to CampHERO, but are not allowed to use them without permission from their adult Crew Leader.  Cell phones must be turned off and left packed in suitcase.  Campers who violate this rule, will be required to give their cell phone to camp staff to be held until the end of camp.
