Grades & Girl Scout Levels Explained

What is a daisy/brownie/junior/cadette/senior/ambassador?

To sign up for the appropriate Girl Scout level this summer, match the grade your daughter will be going into this fall.

DAISY

Grade K-1 in the fall (PreK - K at time of registration) Girls experience CampHERO with an adult buddy.  Try out fingerprinting, bandaging, putting out a "fire", and searching for a lost teddy bear. Along the way you'll meet and learn from real firefighters, police officers, and paramedics. NOTE: Adults participate for free but registration is required to hold your spot.

BROWNIES

Grades 2-3 in fall (Grades 1-2 at time of registration) We need more real-life HERO's in the world. Learn some basic skills that a firefighter, police officer, or paramedic uses every day. Try chasing down a suspect, putting out "fires", splinting an injury, and more more. This day is packed with fun and adventures.

JUNIORS

Grades 3 - 4 in the fall  (Grades 2-3 at time of registration)  You'll learn and have a blast deploying hoses, mastering simple knots, finding your assertive voice, and attacking "fires". Maybe someday you'll be a firefighter, police officer, or paramedic. At this camp, you'll discover how exciting these professions are and meet real-life local HERO's NOTES: This is a 1.5 day camp with differing start times.  NO overnight

CADETTE

Grades 5-8 (Grades 4-7 at time of registration) You're old enough for the middle school session of CampHERO! Step up your skills and learn bloodstain pattern analysis, crime scene diagramming, forcible entry, ladder use, patient assessment, CPR and dive into the search and rescue maze. It's 56 hours of life-changing camp! Bunk at night at the Leadership Center and return to the 'station' daily at Madison College

SENIOR/AMBASSADOR

Grades 9- 12, recent graduate in the fall  (Grades 8-12 at time of registration) This is the pinnacle of being a CampHERO camper! Whether you've come every year since you were a Daisy or it's your first time, come this year. On top of all the police investigating and firefighting, you'll be doing stuff that usually only the pro's get to do…we're talking Jaws of Life stuff. Highlights of this camp are using the jaws of life to cut apart a car and rappelling a four story building. If you question your bravery, that's smart. But, by the time it's all up to you to save the day, you'll be ready and determined to harness up and climb down the wall! Meet and spend time getting to know a powerfully inspiring group of firefighters, police officers, and paramedics who will share their hard earned knowledge with you. Lucky you! Bunk at the Leadership Center and return to the 'station' daily at Madison College.
